Alice Eve THINK before you post!

To be honest I hadn't really heard of Alice Eve before today, though Wikipedia tells me she's in the film "She's all that" and I do love that film, though I'm not all to sure who she is in it.

The controversial Instagram photo has now been deleted, another photo about acceptance has been loaded.  But that doesn't wash away her hateful comments. Imagine being a transgendered person and having someone in the entertainment industry dispute your Gender preference because you weren't born with the anatomy and faced the hardships of said sex. Because no matter what I believe that transgendered people have a harder time at life. There as some seriously scary statistics out there.

Bruce Jenner can not help that he was born with male anatomy, he also can not help that he feels more female minded or the fact that he had to live in very transphobic times that has made coming out all that harder. He has spoke openly about his struggles so that others know that its ok. This kind of decision is hard and instead of condemning people, we should be supporting.

We are all fighting personal battles. Bruce Jenner's bravery to share some of his journey with the world is worth noting as a turning point for transgendered people and hopefully will help people understand gender dysmorphia.

Though like homophobia, transphobia is probably far from being eliminated. Though we can dream to live in a more tolerable society as Bruce received such a positive response as well as many stars taking to social media to congratulate Bruce after his interview.

Whats worse is that Alice Eve also showed a great misunderstanding of feminism and many of her fans seemed to be in agreement, with so many young starlets declaring there not feminist it is so important that the ones who are not afraid to say they are... get it right. Feminism is the equality of men and women, its giving each gender the chance to be who they want to be!

So Alice Eve, one last thing whilst your PR try and dig you out of that hole you just dug. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all!

Check out this great YouTube channel called MyGenderation a great channel that discusses so many topics surrounding gender.

[Disclaimer: When talking about Bruce Jenner I have used male pronouns as nothing has been released yet that he would prefer female pronouns]

Motivation Monday

Deviating from the normal Music Monday, as I have to do this quick and wanted to get something g up. Totally disorganised and have a million things to do, I don't know when life will stop being busy or if I even want life to be less busy.

There is so much I want to accomplish and motivational sayings have been a driving force to get me through some days!

In a blink of an eye...

No need for a coat today as I strolled up the high street  to pick up a package from the post office... the sun shone brightly and I was hit with the realisation of how fast this year has come in.

April will soon be at a close and a quarter of 2015 will be over and done with. The clocks have changed, the nights are lighter, the sun is peaking in and out of our lives. Life is moving in a blink.

I have been busy with College, and soon I will be finished my course and starting a new chapter in my life... I'm still sussing out what I'm going to be doing. But I plan to keep myself busy until I do.

It's still scary though, two years ago after thinking I would take time out before going to college I sent of my application and had just received confirmation that I was getting an interview for the course I am now on.

Time has really flown, and though high school feels like a lifetime ago it also feels like two seconds since I made the transition from there to here.

Looking ahead I can't wait to see what else is to happen as I have had some incredible experiences through my course and if thats a taste for whats to come then bring it on.

#MusicMonday: Under The Brightest Lights - Lacey

A late night music Monday... enjoy!

Lacey released there Debut album to the general public today, Under the Brightest Lights is the first full length album to be released by the band, fan funded.

I saw Lacey front Patent Pending last year and they had a raw energy on the stage. They were all in all amazing. I downloaded there Outlaws Ep as soon as I got home, and when I saw they had started a pledgemusic campaign I pledged straight away.

I have had the album a couple of months now because of this and I love it. Lacey have created an amazing sound, its hard to believe this band are not signed to a label.

Highlights:

Contender: This song also features on the Outlaws EP and sounds like it should be featured in some epic movie moment.

Change the Story: This song is perfect, everything from the drum beats to the lyrics.

Wait till tomorrow : It's a change of pace, acoustic and so raw in emotion, you can feel it in every lyric, every strum of the guitar.

Older: This is a song to sing along to! A great closer. "we're not done, we're not out, we're still young, we're just older now"

March Favourites

Time for March favourites. It's been so hard to find the time to pull this together so I  had to do it quite quickly around 3am.

Elsa T-shirt - I went to the cinema with one of my friends and we always pop into Asda to get our munchies before hand and when I saw this t-shirt I knew I had to have it. It was only like £7 and I'm just using it for around the house but I absolutely adore it, they also had a cinderella one which I might need to go back and buy.

Dare to dream post card - I went to Paperchase and I bought a few little postcards with these kind of motivational sayings. I love them and they will be displayed in my room once I have it redecorated.

Rimmel Rita Ora Nail Varnish - In the colours Roll In the Grass and Rain Rain Go Away. I have been using Rain Rain Go Away on my fingernails as I have to keep colours neutral for my work and this means I can keep the colour on and am not rushing to take it off before a shift. And then Roll in the Grass is my little pop of colour on my toenails.

Rimmel Stay Matte (Long Lasting Pressed Powder) - This was the first powder I ever used when I started wearing make-up and I used it for years on top of my foundation, I went through  a while where I didn't wear powder and when I started putting powder on again because I like the finish better I began using benefits stay flawless as I use there foundation. But this is a fraction of the price and gives the same amount of coverage so I have went back to using it.

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer - I have been using this for maybe half a year now and this is by far my favourite concealer ever. I finished my last little pot and went through maybe a time gap of a week before I had the chance to repurchase and I realised just how much I rely on this in my make-up routine.

Bobbi Brown Corrector - This is a new purchase that I love, its not as high strength as my boiling Concealer and is a great little basic for fixing the dark circles around my eyes. It works well on its own, but you can use a Concealer over it.

Smashbox Full Exposure Palette - I am in love with this palette its such great quality and is just beautiful on.

Chip Cup - I went to disney on Ice as March drew to a close and treated myself and little cousin to a snow cone, I got her a bigger one that came in a Olaf Cup and I got myself this cute little Chip one.

There we go thats March's goodies!
