Naked 2 - Eye Shadow Palette - Urban Decay : I didn't realise this was a repeat when making the video, but I have to say worth it. I love this palette it's my go to.

Cleansing Palette - Real Techniques : Want to making cleaning brushes easier buy this.

Brush Cleanser - Real Techniques : Want to make your brushes cleaner buy this.

Naked - Liquid Lipstick - Anastasia Beverly Hills : YASSS! this is amazing, not uncomfortable or crumbly and a lovely colour I want to buy all the shades now.

#MusicMonday: Kids in the Street - The All American Rejects

It's been 4 years since I've seen the All American Rejects Live, I remember hearing this song and it really resonating with me the. And it still does now.  It was the first time I had ever heard in when we went to the concert and I immediately just felt that it was a great song, catchy, meaningful.

#MusicMonday: My Anthem - Christina Grimmie

Christina Grimmie tragically lost her life on June 11th at only 22 years old, on June 10th whilst signing autographs for fans after a concert in Orlando the singer/youtuber was shot 3 times and rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

It's absolutely tragic for someones life to end so suddenly, and hopefully between this and the attack at Pulse when the American Government re-open up the talk on Gun Control something is done!

Christina Grimmie should still be able to tour and record albums and bring her music into the world. Her family should not be having to put her to rest. The Family's of the 50 shot dead in an Orlando Gay Club should not have to put there loved one to rest.  Unfortunately the reality is all to tragic and something needs to be done.

This weeks Music Monday is dedicated to all. It's Christina Grimmie "My Anthem"

#MusicMonday Welcome To New York - Taylor Swift

Tomorrow I venture of to the big apple. My First Trip to America since I was eight.. and I turn 21 on Wednesday... I'm very excited... theres a whole new world of make-up to venture into. I have spent the day organising everything in preparation.

So here's a tune that I've been dancing to whilst packing.

Ms Taylor Swifts "Welcome to New York" a great upbeat tune... that I can 100% see myself walking down the streets of New York too.

May Favourites

1. Real Techniques - Bold Metalics - #103 : This is the softest brush I have ever owned. It is an amazing brush, I use it to set my make-up, with my powder.  and give myself a last is every blended ok.

2. Real Techniques - Beauty Blender : Late to the party, but better late than never,  I suggest if your later to the party than me that you add this to your collection, great for making sure my foundation is looking a-ok.

3. Benefit - Gimme Brow : I didn't like this the first time I tried it, didn't really get it, but its quick and has great staying power. If I'm in a rush or just want to make my brows last and look better on this goes.

4. Benefit - They're Real Primer : Who knew your eyelashes needed prime.  (Raises Hand) I got complimented a lot about my lashes first time I wore this, hadn't changed my mascara, proof that it works and really helps with length and volume.

5. Kikki.K - 365 Journal : This gorgeous journal is easy to capsulate your day in.

Monthly Motivation: Looking Back and Moving On

I recently realised that this is the first May in five years where I haven't had exams or graded unit. And if I had remembered that at the beginning of the month that may have felt more freeing. Thinking about it now, I realise what bad connotations I have of the month, previously they have just been stressful and left me a wreck.

This year though May was a place for old things to start a new. I have really tried. I’ve worked hard on old friendships, of people who I would like back in my life properly. And its been good. It's been really good

I’m also trying to work on things that I enjoy more, I’m filming my week so that I can spend some proper time editing. I missed editing. And this time last year I was probably saying the opposite because I was working towards a dead line.

Its fun to look back at the week, see what I’ve filmed, see how I can improve my filming and editing techniques and then just release it out there.

And though I still need to do more things for me, instead of just letting myself procrastinate, thats a problem to move forward with.

This May will be looked back on positively, there were moments where I struggled but to be honest this month has had so many highs, and as we move into June its already shaping up to be a good month (though June is historically a good month for me)

Looking back has it's uses as we move on, it helps us grow, heal, change. Getting stuck in the past leaves us bitter, hurt, and unready to move on. And as life only moves forward you have to be ready to keep on keeping on.
