Happily Ever After // Project 366 // Day 30
I can't speak of love like this from a personal vantage point.
I've not experience that kinda love that makes you through caution to the wind, that makes you declare everything you've ever felt, that makes you envision a future by there side, that leaves you vulnerable yet fully empowered.
Love like that deserves to be celebrated. Because how special, to find the person for you. The person who makes you grin from ear to ear, who makes the kitchen a dance floor, who is next to you through the highs, the lows and the Sunday afternoons watching movies on the couch.
Love like that is infectious, happiness is infectious. There is a reason that people write love songs. Because love like that is real and the world is hopeful that we will all feel like that one day.

I Need Space // Project 366 // Day 25
There are too many stars in the sky to count,
yet who knows if they get lonely,
the moon glows, basks in the suns light
but the man on it has never felt warmth
there is so much room for us to roam
but I need space.

The Clock Still Ticks // Project 366 // Day 20
the clock still ticks,
we keep moving
everything goes forward
still
the clock still ticks,
hours keep passing
the days are changing
yet
the clock still ticks,
nobody takes notice
they forget to savour the moment
now.

Time Won't Fly // Project 366 // Day 17
Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it
I'd like to be my old self again, but I'm still trying to find it

Wave of Walls // Project 366 // Day 16
Yeah, like a thorn stuck in my side
Yeah, like an answer I can’t find
Yeah, oh the words escape me
Like a wave of walls

The Cure / Project 366 // Day 14
I try to talk
The sky goes red
I forget
So fill my head
With some of this
Some of that
Some of every word she said
The sky goes red
I forget
So fill my head
With some of this
Some of that
Some of every word she said

It's the little things // Project 366 // Day 11
When you stop to look around you start to notice things you normally wouldn't, you walk down streets you normally would bypass for quicker routes. When you wander you experience life as people live it.
You become a watcher of the world.
Sometimes you see an old woman hanging out of a window having a fag, watching the world. With a vase of flowers and realise your not all so different.

Quiet Times, Quiet Changes // Project 366 // Day 8
Last year I worked on my mental health I had to. I had spiralled into unfamiliar territory. Next step came healing, stumbling, re-healing, facing truths. It was a long process one I will probably never be truly out of it. I learned the benefits of being on the same team as your brain. In the end quietly working on yourself promotes change.
So I'm going to start working at goals I wanna achieve this year, quietly but surely and hopefully by the end of the year I will be so much closer to my goals.
Change doesn't need to be loud and in your face it just needs to be consistent and worked at.

This City Has Secrets // Project 366 // Day 6
Wandering the streets of a city I have know my whole life is a lot different looking through the lens of a camera. This city has secrets.
Hidden in alleys, between cobblestones, amongst the buildings are a thousand stories you'll never hear.

The Bend the Break // Project 366 // Day 3
One of my oldest friendships is elastic we bend, we stretch, we take all we can from each other we don't break. Though I would never take the same from someone else. I wouldn't let my friends be treated this way. Because we've known each other forever it somehow becomes acceptable.
Though we don't break, we take breaks. Right now I need a breather, the older we get the less similar we are but yet still so similar still the same people we were as teens only different a little wiser, a little jaded. Breathers stop us from disappearing all together from each others lives. A small price to pay for some sanity.
We're mouldable, yet set in our ways.
We'll be laughing and taking shots in no time.
We bend so we don't break.

One Step At A Time // Project 366 // Day 2
The major downfall of most New Year Resolutions is trying to do them all at once and perfectly. Listing 10 things and expecting yourself to be able to keep it up means that very quickly you can't maintain, you begin to drop things and eventually stop trying because you feel like your failing.
Instead take it one step at a time.
Resolution to get healthier: maybe you go to the gym once this week and start building it up, maybe you make your lunches to keep you away from temptation when your trying to buy one quickly on a break. Maybe all you do this week is go a walk, but next week set a new goal, then another and then another. Little steps all add up.
Resolution to save money: look at your budget, see where you spending your money this is the first step you need to do. Money advice posts where they tell you to cut your daily £4 coffee are no help when you don't have a daily £4 coffee. Look at small places to cut so you can begin to save. Then repeat.
Whatever it is break it down in to steps, and then that's all you have to do take it one step at a time, your allowed to stumble you may even take a few steps back. But stay on the path.

Going Blindly // Project 366 // Day 1
I love the new year, I don't care for cynicism, in the same way I love a Monday Its a brilliant time to start all over again. Though you can choose to do that anytime you please. Never doubt each new day is an equally brilliant chance to completely reinvent yourself.
Though not only the start of a year, the start of a brand new decade. 10 years ago I was 14, we'd had a bad bit of snow. I hadn't yet sat exams in high school, started working, ventured of to college, discovered my love of filming. I had ambition to travel but had never wandered that far or often.
A decade is a lot of time, yet no time at all. In another 10 years I will be mid-way through my thirties with is a scary thought. I have dreams and ambitions for what my life will look like and the knowledge that I will need to graft to see them become a reality.
Life doesn't really have a right time to start, you just have to go blindly hope that the universe sets you on the right course!
xoxo
